Mercier Champagne around half price in store and online @ Tesco!

FOUND BY: Azureus 2 years, 4 weeks ago

Mercier is a good quality champagne and Tesco's are selling it for £54 + delivery for 6 bottles on-line but are also selling it in store for £9.49 per bottle. At least they were at my local Warrington store until I bought their last 9 bottles.

My first post so I hope this all okay...

Mercier is or was the best selling champagne in France. Its a great price for a good name champ and obv, if you buy 6 you get 5% discount too (they do still do this don't they?)

I just ordered 6 online and used the voucher for £15 off £50. So the total is £44.09 for 6 bottles delivered = £7.35 each. However its been my experience with Tesco wine orders that the online price doesn't take account of 5% discount, thats done by the store. So i expect a further 5% discount when its delivered, which should take it to £41.39 or £6.90 per bottle

Dont forget you can use any clubcard vouchers too.

I used a £4.50 one I had also.

Therefore: £54.09 + £5 del = £59.09
- £15 voucher (off £50) = £44.09
- my tesco points voucher £4.50 = £39.59 !!!!!
or £6.60 per bottle delivered !!!!

You did search in the vouchers thread? Where you would have found the voucher you wanted. Alternatively using the search button for "tesco wine vouchers" would have brought it up in 8th place

placed an order cheers for the hot deal, got e-mail confirming £44.09 but when i placed the order my card was charged £59 ??

i had to confrim it on the bit you get for extra security.
