EXPIRED - Oyster Barclaycard with £25 credit

205°

FOUND BY: nileshpandya17 6 months, 1 week ago

Expires: 08/01/2008

This might seem one for Londoners, but i don't think this applies strictly just to them.

Barclaycard are giving £25 credit when applying for their new Barclaycard OnePulse Oyster Card and making your first purchase.

So buy a pack of Gum, or something, and £25 is yours. Also comes with the handy one-touch payment method and doubles up as an Oystercard, although i'm not sure i want to flash my credit card around to everyone when i'm going through the gates.

Also has 0% interest on payments for first 6 months.

I just like the idea of this 'swiss army knife' credit card whenever i see the ad on the tube. The free £25 has just sold me.

Lovely find.

if it works the same as the Oyster then it should register just my placing your wallet over the receptor.

That's the part that scares me! What are they going to start doing with all this data!! It's freaky enough thinking they track people using congestion charge and Oyster etc....

I know "if you're not doing anything wrong what are you worried about" but it's a bit unsettling when they can start mapping where you are and where you go against what you're buying!

Great deal but as the Admin said, I don't like the feeling that the government are that free to STALK me whenever they want to.

Fantastic offer though, lets just hope people don't start stealing oyster cards, knowing it could be an Oyster Barclaycard and max out your credit limit.

If you carry a mobile on you they can trace you to the nearest 10m...constantly. Even if you are on unregistered Pay as You Go, they can monitor your calls and identify you easily enough.

We are monitored 24/7 by the technology we are so eager to embrace. We gave up freedom ages ago, in the name of luxuries such as internet, mobile phones, and more recently in the name of terror.

If you're not happy with this, there's always the caves in the Scottish highlands

If you're a paranoid android worried about being tracked by your oyster or credit card you may want to keep your eyes on the pavement when you walk around London. Or anywhere in England at all. You're being watched. Everywhere. You can't escape!

Do you have a need for an Oyster card in Scotland?

This idea is that 'Oyster' can be used (swiped) in loads of places rather than paying and entering a PIN. At the moment everyone uses it on tube travel but the trial is to be extended and you will be able to use it on transactions less than a £10 i think.

Have to agree. make sure you try and see the film 'Taking Liberties' to see just what has happened to this country over the last 10 years. All for the phoney 'war on terror'.
