Would the cold voters care to show us where you can get DDR Sodimms from for less than the OPs find.

Nice find aliaspeter. I'm guessing that cold voters are thinking this is recent/cheaper DDR2.

Yep,
This is definitely the best price for this RAM at the moment. I bought a 1Gb stick about a month ago.

I was disappointed to find that my 2yr old Dell (Hell) only accepts PC2700 memory - not disappointed about the memory-type as such, but the fact this "old" style RAM is more than 3 times the price of it's more current relatives!

Haven't had any problem with it since installing.

Cheers
(ps. Voted hot)

Use Crucial's system scanner. This will tell you the type of memory required, how much you already have and how many free slots you have:

Inspiron 1300 takes DDR2, much cheaper, approx £14 for 1gb
