One for gadget fans. Probably the best PMP available on the market today, only £303 on pre-order (due for release on 12th December) from Advanced MP3 Players after applying the attached coupon (AMP3PD) for 5% off. Quidco will also give 4% on this too.

I've dealt with Advanced MP3 Players before and had a really good service so am keen to use them again. Just so happens this is the best price I can find online too.

I have the 20 gig A2. I can easily say its the best PMP on the face of this earth, hands down.

Yeah, I'm quite excited about a device which finally does MKV playback. The device also outputs 720p over component which is really handy.

No idea why this has been voted cold tho, probably due to iPod fans or something :P

Ooooh, MKV playback .. nice.
Sorely tempted, my laptop handles them fine and has HDMI output but a portable would be a bit special.
Would have to offload my Archos AV500 though I think otherwise the mrs would throw a wobbly.

Nice find, voted hot just because I want one :-)

I'd be inclined to agree with you there. People will probably see this, think it's an iPod clone but more expensive and not by Apple. However it's so much more than an iPod. No reliance on iTunes and the best file format support on any device other than a laptop :P

Be nice to have a dedicated device that plays back MKVs as the DVI in my laptop doesn't seem to be compatible with HDMI so this will be the only way I can watch the files without transcoding them for the 360.

For that much money you can buy a laptop (10", 12", 14", 15", your choice) that can do 10 times more than the above. All the codecs above can be downloaded for free for a laptop from places like www.free-codecs.com,...etc.

Cool a laptop for £300 that you can put in your pocket, has component output for 720p output and has 7 hours video playback time.

Ipod fanboys are voting this cold because they don't know what this device is...

This is the media player and blows Ipods and anything else out of the water..Once you heard this you would kill for it..believe me..
