Samsung htx30r home cinema system - cheapest I have seen elsewhere is £150. Includes a DVD player with HDMI out with 5.1 surround speakers and an optical in, allowing you to plug in external sources such as an XBox 360/ps3 etc.

Funny thnig is the site has it named as a HTX30RAB (which does not exist as far as I can tell), and the specs listed do not quite match those of the htx30, but I took a chance and ordered it and much to my relief found it is the HTX30R.

Came in a couple of days.

I have got one of these and it is excellent. It also has a built in tuner. Great paired up with my Samsung 50" plasma and can share the same remote control.

I am looking for a speaker system/cinema system that works well with Bravia TV's that does not need wiring of rear speakers or wireless. Anyone know of a good system that uses bouncing of walls for surround sound?

Sound quality is excellent, and it really looks and feels a lot more expensive than it is. Only downside is that it has not got more inputs (2 optical would have been nice).

where can i get the wireless thingy from ?

this is a good system i got it from tribal a few weeks ago came nice and quick and have had a few teething problems with syncing it but there now. it has usb too so i can watch downloaded films with out burning them.

nice price and the inclusion of optical input is a very good thing .. just bought a hd-dvd player .. was looking for a cheap way to get the sound connected to it ... and this could be it.. a spare dvd player is handy as well lol ( got 3 in one room ) .

why would u need an optical output on a tv unless u got sky-hd then it wont do proper surround... just use the phono connections
