20 pack AA batteries at Argos - £3.99 Philips, £4.99 Panasonic

£3.99

44°

FOUND BY: Matt Davidson 1 year, 11 months ago

With Christmas just around the corner, batteries are one thing that often gets overlooked. There's nothing worse than not having any on xmas morning, and little Jimmy not being able to play with his new toys!

I spotted these deals on Argos at thought they were quite good.

Works out 80p for 4 Philips ones and £1 for 4 Panasonic ones, which is the equivalent price of some of the own brand supermarket batteries that last 2 minutes. Hopefully these well known brand ones will be good!

The main link is to the Philips ones, and towards the bottom of the page has the link for the Panasonic ones.

Best in class and last twice as long as the brand leaders apparently. Reviews here:

I'm gonna go out and get a couple of packs in a minute. I know we've got a door bell and at least 1 remote control that dont work because I havent been bothered to buy the batteries yet!

Cold because I've used panasonic batteries before and they last a fraction of the time of a duracell... ....or a good rechargeable.

Did you know that non rechargeable batteries are one of the most expensive forms of energy you can buy? A quick calculation shows they are approx. 1000 times more expensive per kWh than the typical mains electricity cost! Maybe time to consider rechargeables?

BEWARE - I ordered these from Directfoto in July. They have still not
sent them , despite numerous emails.
