Aye, PS2 games (unless rare and popular) aren't worth much these days, and I very much doubt a Jackass game would be worth playing.

Unless it's an RPG I really want, I refuse to pay more than £10 for PS2 games new and have started picking up lots of pre-owned games for £2-4 each from Gamestation.

It's not about the prices, it's about how good the game is and according to the reviews it's not a great game.
Is your son's age 15+?

Well the reason I'm asking is because the game has been rated 15+. Maybe he and his friends who are under that age shouldn't be playing it?

Age ratings on games and movies are silly. Kids find much, much...much worse stuff on the internet these days with ease, only over protective parents go on age ratings these days.

Internet >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Game/Movie age ratings

If some parents allow their kids to surf the net freely without any control, then is it good parenting? Because it's out there doesn't mean nothing should be done to try and prevent them to have access to it.
I'm truly surprised by your reply really.

If you try to stop kids they'll want to do it even more and find ways to do it. There's also a high chance the kids at school would share and do stuff with them that their parent(s) would be trying to protect their children from, so it's a no win situation.

To be a 'good' parent you need to live in a different civilization. In ours, kids are screwing WAY before they're 16 and doing other stuff 'good' parents don't want their kids doing. I don't think you're very experienced with kids if you find my comments about game/movie age ratings alone shocking!

As a parent (I assume you are since you're so experienced with them) you should know how to control your kids.
So you show your kids porn at an early age because it's "out there" on the web and they'll sooner or later discover it anyway? You teach them to smoke because they'll try it at school anyway?
No wonder this country is going down the pan.

Nope, not a parent...or at least I hope I'm not. Since I'm only 19, I was talking from experience rather than as a parent.

Your children will just want to push away from you if you attempt to be over-protective by monitoring their internet usage, making sure they're home as soon as school finishes and whatever else. I'm not suggesting that parents should join in with what their children are doing, I'm saying they should (unless it's deadly serious) let it slide.

The world is how it is - Growing up in rough areas, going to normal schools, the internet... It all comes together to force people to grow up (or at least try adult rated things) faster than parents would like.

...Anyway. Playing most 15/18 games and watching most 15/18 movies will not corrupt anyone. The ONLY time I'd think it wrong for a kid (if we're talking pre-teen) is if it's a gory/disturbing 18+ horror, but aside from that...

Who gives age ratings? Most certainly not a divine being who knows all, just another person who puts a number on that others accept as correct without thinking. Those ratings can be seen as nothing more than the recommendations of over-protective old men.

Well things are still normal in the part of England where I live. I pity you.
