Are those plastic rails?

Some of these cheap train sets are pretty nasty and break in five minutes.

If it is a plastic one, then this is the same price and of a higher quality

It says '3-channel controller', which is good (proper 3-d control - most cheap ones are 2-channel), but then it says 'so you can fly with others without any interference', which sounds like a 3-BAND helicopter to me

hello there
probably a switchable 3 band 2 channel heli rather than a 3 channel affair.
in response to your question about whether it flys or is controllable true-3D,
fixed flybar/stabilisers (the paddle-looking bits above the rotors) lack of proper pitch control & a few other things might mean you're buying yourself a disappointing toy.

further a 3-channel heli will fly upwards downwards backwards & forwards, lefwards & righwards.
Basically if you think of 3D arranged on co-ordinates this heli will likely fly X,Y,Z ( i.e length ,breadth depth) if you place these points on one corner of any box and think of the three directions that you can radiate out from along any edge, the analogy may become clearer

Anyway to be able to fly true 3D, you need to be able to move in XY, XZ, YZ directions which would approximate a true sphere as you can fly in any direction from a point in the centre of that sphere.
Having said that , its's easier to fly heli's with contra-rotating blades . In fact if it's well tuned you could actually let go of the controls on a 4 channel remote and the heli would simply hover

6 channel would give even finer control including flying upside down ( cutting the lawn!!)

If you want some semblance of fun especially if you're a novice get contra-rotating blades & at least a 4 channel mixer, they're more stable , generally more forgiving & easier to fly
Hope I haven't confused you too much

p.s. you've seen what the wash from a heli's blades in films can do, now can you imagine flying 3 of them in the confines of a small room(these cheap ones are really meant for indoors as even the lightest of wind outdooors distabilizes them)..anyway as I was saying flying 3 of these helis (presumablly because you can get them on 3 different frequencies) in a room..the wash from all three interacting choppers .. not to mention the potential danger to limb & life!!....
