Asics Trainers Sale by upto 50% in Sports World/Direct

314°

FOUND BY: chip2388 1 year, 11 months ago

STARTS: 12/12/2007

Hi everyone, first post so go easy.

Today i was shopping in sports world in Leeds and i noticed that the all of the Asics trainers had been reduced some up to 50%. I purchased the Asics Mens GT2120 which was 69.99 and i got it for 34.99. Bargain!

Hope it helps a few people.

Thought i would give something back as this website has been very useful

Although the website says it was 99.99, the previous price was 69.99 as i work in a smaller store.

Not bad! ...and a good price indeed! Thank you

Another good site is http://www.startfitness.co.uk

My son is heavily into athletics and they come out best on prices 9 times out of 10.

Have been this price in my local store for a while now but undecided on which pair to purchase as planning to do a half marathon next year and need a new pair of running trainers as my ones are about 7 years old and worn out but have lasted some good wear.

Will probably get a pair in the next few weeks

Great find. Shame the Kayano's for £50 are out of stock in my size. Still, I'll get a pair of 2120's for £35, either work very well for me. Cheapest I've seen them elsewhere is about £50.

I ran in 2100's (2120's are the current model). I now have some Gel Nimbus ones, and they're much better. Same as usual - you get what you pay for! You might want to go to a professional running shop, as they will identify any special requirements for the way your feet make contact with the ground.

Thanks for the info

The furthest i have ran before is a 10k but my current runners need updating as they are an old pair of adidas cross country which give me good support but thought I should buy a new pair for my half marathon since having the other trainers for about 7 years

I used to run in any ole ****. Running around the mountains is easy, but I found running around the roads killed my shins, especially running down hill. All stopped though when I got a good pair of daps. I dont run any more as I think its bad for you (as in run far and often) trained too much in my youth to a high level and now my joints are paying the price so I'm looking after them while they are still pretty good :-)

But need some good trainers for my lads so many thanks :-)

Running shoes should ideally be replaced every year! If you do buy new shoes make sure you have a month to properly wear them in for the half marathon, you need your feet to be completely comfortable with them.

I got a Gel 1110 from Sports World about a year ago so they're due to be replaced soon, might check out the Gel Nimbus.

i replace mine about every 6 months

good price for 2120's cheaper than 1120 which is odd as they're a superior shoe??

your running style should dictate the type of trainer you buy generally neutral, support or control
