Free Capital One Identity Alert service ( including 2 free Credit Reports)
Capital One are offering their card customers a free Identity Alert service in association with Equifax.
With Capital One Identity Alert youll be alerted if someone applies for credit using your details or if any key changes are made to your Equifax Credit Report. This provides you with an early warning system to help protect your identity.
What you get with your Capital One Identity Alert service:
* Email alerts within 7 days of any key changes to your Equifax credit file
* No news is good news monthly message, for when your credit file hasnt changed
* Two FREE Equifax Credit Reports per year
* Online customer service and credit file dispute facility
* 0800 0665 825 9am-5pm Monday to Friday Equifax Customer Care Line (excluding public holidays)
* Once you've used your FREE Equifax Credit Reports you'll be eligible to purchase additional Equifax Credit Reports at a discounted price
As part of the registration process you'll need to enter your Capital One card information in the Payment Details section. Your card won't be charged as this is a FREE service.
Similar 'pay for' services can cost £50-£80 a year.
