I got one similar to this last year (Linksys) for £29 from comet, which was a decent price and it worked well with my old Xbox on Virgin cable for a month or two until I got my 360. Then I swapped it over and transferred my live subscription over and it carried on working great. Only problem I had was a loose wire on the aerial that wasn't soldered properly but that was easily fixed as I got someone at work to solder it. Not sure what the reliabilty is of this Belkin adaptor is but this price is a steal when you compare it to the official one. They are pretty easy to set up too, you just plug them into your pc to configure them (set up network details, passwords etc) then remove it and plug it into the Xbox360 ethernet port and connect to Live. I dont think I even had to change any settings on the 360, they are set to automatic. The only advantage I can see the official one has is you dont need another plug socket as it USB powered and its a bit smaller and neater and I suppose you don't have to configure it via a PC beforehand, but none of that is worth the extra £35 is it? Anyway, just follow the instructions and you should be ok

WHAT it supports WPA, I had one of these a few months and never used it(due to losing the power supply lol) but at the time it wasnt Vista or WPA compatable

I have mine attached to my original xbox (with XBMC) and connected to my WPA-protected home wireless. It streams music and videos perfectly

You can use this if you wire it straight to your 360 by connecting this to your cable modem.
If you want wireless from this router to the 360 you will need to buy the official xbox wireless adapter to go with it (they are extortionate and no other on the market).
The other way may be the cheapest way to make your 360 wireless and that would be to buy 2 of these. Connect the one to the modem to use as a normal router. The connect the other to the 360 and use as a bridge. Not sure if it can be used as a bridge but most wireless routers are able, but setup might be hard work.

I had one of these with latest firmware installed and it did work on vista.

have you got a wireless router.

if its not secured you may be able to plug and play not sure.

otherwise connect to pc put in settings then connect to 360. connection is done via a standard ethernet cable and the 360 thinks its wired not wireless.
