My total order came to £19.24 with the cheapest shipping option. Hopefully it will escape customs.

Great price anyway!

Did you opt to pay in £s rather than $s? My total order was $36.47, which using the HMRC rate for January (2.0034) equates to £18.20. Interesting that Amazon charge £1 more to pay them in £s.

It is under the customs limit though, as the price excluding delivery is $29.99, which equates to £14.97 at HMRC's rate.

Customs limit is £18 (on the price excluding delivery).

You would ahve to check whether your DVD player can play region 1 DVDs. There are usually hacks for most DVD players (usually some sort of combination of button presses on the remote control), but I would advise you to check before ordering as if your player is locked to region 2 it won't play this.

A good place to start is here:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=126

The first thread has contained the information I've needed for 3 players. Alternatively you could try ordering a bargain basement R1 or R3 title from CD-WOW et al and see if they play before taking the plunge!

All in all this is a good bargain, I pre-ordered mine from them when it was $38.99, luckily it sneaked through customs so got it for £22 in all, £19's even better!

You are right. Tried to reorder using USD where it would have been around 60p cheaper but the order is already to far gone. Useful to rememeber for future use especially when getting near to the customs limit. Of course at least this guarantees the price in case of interest rate fluctuations before despatched.

Great price, for those that have a V+ box, if you are not aware you can watch the first two Seasons of Lost in High Definition for free!

Notice that Amazon.com do the other two seasons for $32.99 as well, as long as you ship seperately to avoid customs charges this has to be cheaper than buying here.

Looking forward to Season 4 starting the end of this month.....

I was wondering the same myself, I would think shortly after Season 4 starts screening on sky...but who knows.

I thought Amazon US would not post to the UK, when did this change? Or was it a myth? Has anyone successfully ordered something and have it actually arrive.

Amazon US has always (as far I can remember) shipped to the UK - whether goods arrive or not is another matter though!
