Orange Broadband - Existing Customers not within contract period FREE for 6 months

-36°

FOUND BY: matkavs 1 year, 10 months ago

I have been with Orange broadband for 11 1/2 months. Contrary to reviews on the net I have had no problems at all. 8 meg unlimited, downloading at 8 meg speeds and connection only dropped twice in 12 months (fixed by turning wireless router off and on to re-boot)

I had no intention of leaving but threatened to move to Sky Broadband and asked for a MAC code. He offered me the same package but free for the next 6 months to stay on for a further 12. So 6 months free 6 months £19.99, works out at a tenner a month.

Hope it helps some of you guys out on here!

I am assuming those voting cold are not with Orange Broadband and therefore this deal wouldn't apply to them. I am trying to give a heads up to those with Orange Broadband who actually want to stay with them.

If it doesn't apply to you, and you are not with Orange, how is this not a good deal??

I am with Orange Broadband. All was good with Wanadoo, then when Orange took over the Speed and Service slowly got worse. ( In my location i am capable of getting 4.5Mb) During the Evening my 2MB Orange Broadband Service can sometimes drop down to as low as 0.2Mb. Oversubscribed. Try someone else!!! You have been warned!!!

You were had, they gave me the same package for £9.99 a month with the first six months free, equating to £4.99 a month. The package is Orange Broadband Retention Plus.

phone up and ask for your mac code as you want to get broadband elsewhere, they will put you through to retentions who will offer you a price reduction on your price with them

and i believe the MAC is Migration Authorisation Code ?

You can get it for £9.99 a month now, and if you are out of contract they will let you have 6 months out of that free if you sign on for another 12 months. Works out about £5 a month.. You have been mugged and you are stuck on that deal for 12 months, cold vote. sorry.

WOW.... I got a cracking deal then!!

Ok.. had some problems to start with but NOT Orange's fault... BT exchange was pants. Anyhow they offered me £100 compensation for my free broadband as a gesture of good will AND 12months £0 per month for the life of my orange contract AND 8meg unlimited wireless internet.

I've been with Orange for 7years and now pay just £15 a month for unlimited txts & 250mins & unlimited wireless braodband...... think thats an OK deal :-)

Yes , Finally rang orange to cancel contract

Within a milli-second he offered me 6 months free + 6 months at £9.99

Livebox failed over xmas [(even the spare i was given) may had something to do
with me port-forwarding and using 'youtorrent' crashed both liveboxs]
Speedtouch modem got me out of trouble until liveboxs came back to life
after a week.
Overall one happy orange customer
