can someone tell me if this is better that a 512mb 8800gt as i heard. And would i be able to play crysis on high settings with this GTS + a Q6600 processor

yes the new 512mb GTS are quicker than the 8800GT - and assuming you've got a reasonable amount of memory that processor will allow you to run cryisis looking lovely.
