Free replacement PSP or PS3 for your broken or faulty one?

Apparently Sony are running an exchange program for faulty PSP and PS3s. Even if it's out of warranty [Edit: May not work if they ask and you remember buying it more than a year ago....], as long as the warranty sticker is intact (you haven't opened the case to fiddle with the insides) and you've got the battery and charger then they'll send out a refurbished one via parcelforce and pick up your dud one to take back. This is all free of charge (less the phone call). It's said this even covers broken screens.

hey everyone, I remember having my first PS and a year after the purchase it broke down, Sony never did anything about it.

The way I read it is that the selling of the information is a rip-off, he is saying its information that shouldn't be sold and that people should ring sony themselves on the number.

Apparently I missed a 7 off the end of the number I first posted - sorry! Eagle eyed poster Nightshade at MSE put me right. I've corrected it now.
