Churchill Home Insurance, £80 Quidco and payment speed of 1 month

POSTED BY: Scotty2k0 3 months, 3 weeks ago

Hi,

Just renewed my buildings and contents insurance with Churchill through Quidco. I've paid £109.20 for £40,000 contents cover, £250,000 rebuild. I've gone for the basic cover without accidental damge or legal cover. I also reduced the excess to just £75 and I've protected my NCD.

My quote is based on a 2 bedroom flat with over 5 years NCD on both buildings and contents.

Quidco is showing £70 but has just tracked as £80 and the payment speed is just 1 month.

I have had home insurance and car insurance with Churchill - Both were the best quotes available and both gave quidco very quickly.

Wow, that seems a very good quotation even without the quidco.

better off splitting home & contents insurance amongst different insurers. I got £100 quidco from natwest for a £60 contents policy and £90 quidco from aig for a £160 buildings policy.

also note that buildings cover should be based on rebuilding cost, not the value of your property. too many people pay over the odds as rebuilding costs are about a third of the value depending on location/type of property of course. Also, insurers can reduce any payout if you over or under insure your property by a big percentage.

Just to clarify, the £40,000 contents and £250,000 buildings is Churchill's standard cover!!

We don't?! So, you'll be moving all the mobile phones offers into misc from now on?

So. This means HP deals like these should be removed due to cashback?
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/13633...-duo-t7200-14/

And a post made my duckmagic should be removed? This deal being based on TWO lots of cashback?
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/13853...hs-free-line-/

Just to pick a couple out of the air ...

No. Please read the thread I posted in the misc forum. Those have an actual deal attached. It's not just a "cashback amount". If you wish to discuss, please do so in the feedback thread, instead of highjacking this one. Thanks./

Hi, can you tell me how long it took for your Quidco to show on your quidco account? Got some insurance today and is still not showing up on my quidco yet.
Thanks in advance
