Is this a wind up, when you turn up with your family they will award you with WORLDS TIGHTEST MAN for dragging your family for the worst cheap day out possible
and yes you are, your avatar is perfect. lol
Well strangely enough it is not a wind up, neither is it a wind up that the BAA will donate a £1 to Marie Curie Cancer Care for every volunteer who takes part and it sure wouldn't be a wind up if you won one of the free tickets to fly on British Airways either.
Of course you would seem to be exactly the sort of person who would moan and bitch about your holiday experience starting badly at Heathrow because something is wrong. These trials are designed to pin point problems in the systems and have them sorted out before the terminal is opened to the general public. I know that the BAA were made aware of 3 (major passenger) problems that WILL be sorted out before it is opened to the public in 7 weeks time, so maybe someone else has sorted out your problems.
As for food and refreshments go, they are available throughout the day, you are free to explore the whole terminal, test out everything and report back. From arrival to departure your day costs you nothing, parking is provided free and as for the contents of the goodie bag - well you will just have to turn up and get one.....
Not only is it an experience for travellers, but it is also an experience for people who might have to go to Heathrow to collect friends and relatives, and although I am not really a plane spotter, it was interesting and could also help anyone who has never flown before as it gives you the experience of what goes on before you fly and gives you the experience of arriving at the airport, collecting 'your' baggage and walking through immigration and customs. Of course they do tell you what sort of person you have to be for the day, so you might find yourself as an American arriving in the UK for the first time and having hassle explaining to immigration why you need to come to this Country.
