Well, I gave it a try, and like I thought - it gets added onto the end, and then that becomes uneditable.

You can now only append to the OP. This prevents people from changing what they originally stated in the OP etc. You can do multiple appends btw.

Just gonna be a lot harder for people to see what is still for sale, when you have multiple things for sale in one listing....

Yeah I know what you mean hodsey77 but in this case I think the benefits of keeping a historical record outweighed that. Ideally long term we can do a kind of versioning but in the meantime hopefully this works ok.

Yea, I agree, something needed sorting with the original posts being deleted. It's a shame that additional comments can't be added at particular sections, rather than just appended to the end.

Hopefully, as you say, this is just a kinda Version 1.0

How about this for an idea. Copy and paste the opening post into the reply box (making it post 2). That way you can edit it to your hearts content, add images etc AND the original post is still there so everybody can see there's been no foul play in the editing

Seems like a good solution to me

Don't think its considered a bump if you post immediately after another post, and certainly not in the case of having a second post (after all if you want to include proper pictures they need to go there)

Plus Col normally bumps new threads within 30 minutes of posting asking for pictures/feedback from other sites. So I would have thought it would be OK.

For long posts (ie 20 different DVD's) though I would recommend just posting a pic and something along the lines of:

"This post reserved for sold item updates"

....

Posting straight after your original to add pictures etc isn't considered bumping unless a long period of time had passed between them.
