Also its a TN panel which means poor viewing angles. If you even slouch down in your chair while watching a film or something it becomes rubbish very quickly.

as for the viewing angle... you'd be having some pretty severe back problems if you slouch down enough to affect the picture quality!

That's almost why I got myself a S-PVA panel 20" 720p LCD tv to replace my VP930, though my problem wasn't of switching connections but that the DVI wasn't HDCP compatible and the extra cost of a decent hi-res supporting VGA box (which might be what you need) might as well go towards a new LCD, plus the VP930 should fetch back at minimum 75% of it's price.

This link might be helpful for you, though if you are using HDMI/DVI at the moment you would need to get a component lead as well. It is one of the possibilities I looked at whilst researching how to get over my VP930's non HDCP problem:

How come you have to switch at all? Is it because your PC graphic card only does DVI so you need to keep sharing the DVI socket between the PS3 and PC? I guess one of these VGA boxes might be your only option other than get another monitor or LCD tv like I did that has the connections you need. The overseas sellers are obviously cheaper by up to 2 times compared with the UK sellers listed on that page, so I would go with an overseas seller. I've also seen a cheap 'Gadmei VGA' box on Amazon UK but although one of them at least apparently takes component I didn't want to chance it that it comes out wrong when outputted over VGA. Sorry I can't help you more. Perhaps if the option was still available to you to return the monitor for a refund you could do that and get a 720p LCD tv? Since most games run at 720p anyway on the 360/PS3, and even on Amazon UK you could get a 20" Bravia or Aquos for around £300 (or bigger for not much more).
