These are $1.90 each.

If you buy 3 and use the bulk discount offer you will actually PAY MORE for this item than you would if you didnt use the voucher.

$1.90 x 3 = $5.70 + Free shipping

Use the promo code BULKRATE on three items and your basket value becomes $6.24. MORE THAN NORMAL. This is because by using the BULKRATE voucher it initiates a mandatory $1.70 Package Tracking Service fee. So although you save $1.46 you are charged $1.70. (not much but it's the principle of the matter)

SO if you want 1 or 2 of these just buy 1 or 2 (as the code only works for 3+). If you want only 3 then just buy normal without the code. If you want more than 3 then use the code as for 4 units + it does work out cheaper.

by the way that might of happened cause for bulk orders (basically when you enter the code) they have to add $1.70 tracking ****. So if you order 4 of that item you may get a slight discount.

Ok, I'll explain this feature to people

This code enables the bulk pricing, encouraged by DealExtreme on their actual website. If you are buying say 3+ or 5+ or 10+ or something, it enables the offer price for that particular item. At the same time it adds $1.70 shipping which is a bit annoying, but you do get registered airmail - remember for posting in the UK alone we have to pay 75p(Approx $1.50) for registered post at the post office on top of postage so it is a bargain and peace of mind.

So it adds $1.70, then discounts accordingly depending whatever the saving is on the item you buy in bulk - MOST of the time (if not all the times) you will SAVE MONEY - you can even check in the checkout at the end by how much they discount and add to the order.

Hope that helps - DX don't explain it very well, they're too busy cutting prices!

The £18 limit still applies (because it's a gift sent from a company, not an individual).

Having said that, at least one person on here claims to have never paid customs and VAT charges (although I don't know if it would be the same if the value was £327 instead of £27).

There is no guaranteed way of getting items through without customs & VAT charges.
Ticking the "gift" box, putting a lower than actual value, sending it as a zero value sample, etc. are all ways of tricking the system.
But...revenue & customs (or whatever they're called this week) are still permitted to open random packages, make their own estimate of value (rather than taking the senders word for it), and charging duty based on their own valuation.

Think this should be a tip rather than a 'deal' as it is a permanent DX feature - wholesale(ish) prices for bulk purchases............
