Computer for sale, £150 collected (York) or £165 shipped. Very clean - little used, unfortunately has a couple of scratches on the side of case.

CPU - Core2Duo E6300 @ 1600MHz
Motherboard - Abit SG95 with onboard 7.1 sound
Memory - 2GB DDR2 (Corsair Value Ram, 2X1GB 666MHz)
Hard Drive - 160GB (Maxtor SATA 2MB Cache)
Graphics - Radeon X1600 Pro (PCI-E, 256MB)
Optical - DVD+-RW (20x)
Case - Antec NSK4000 + 300W PSU

NB If you don't want the graphics card (motherboard does have basic onboard graphics) I'd sell the computer without the card for £20 less...

I don't have a windows license for it. It would meet the minimum hardware requirements but not the recommend specifications (Radeon X1800/GeForce 7800/better) so you wouldn't get good framerates at high resolutions/detail levels.

Too low I'm afraid mate but thanks for the offer - I'm really after asking price for this. There is a legit OS - just not Windows - Ubuntu 7.10 is running on it at the moment. If anyone wants a computer with no viruses, excellent stability and more free, legal software than you could shake a sstick at this is it - just a pity about the games !

No problems. VHP OEM is about £55 - £60 depending on what version you get. Your best bet is probably a budget Dell system, have a look under Dell in the deals section...

That spec will run Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142 very nicely.

I had it running on a single core Athlon 64 3000+ with 1GB ram and a Radeon 9600 Pro

Seeing as the motherboard is struggling to run the e6300 at its normal 1.86ghz, you wont be able to overclock it at all.

People should remember that this is a nice case.

My mistake here - its actually an E6400 (should be 2.16GHz) but the motherboard is FSB limited to 800MHz making the CPU run at 1.6GHz - not really sure what sort of overclocking headroom there is, might have a quick look if I get the chance later.
