Good find, but plastic construction. Buy the best lid you can afford and it depends how much you value your life. In a decent accident this helmet would fall apart and you would be dead, or severely brain damaged.

I'm not knocking your post...its a good price...LIDL always do quite a lot in the way of Motorcycle gear, jackets, gloves , back protectors etc...

but just in case someone is looking for a "cheap" helmet...ask yourself "How much is my head worth"...I'm not suggesting everyone rushes out and spends in excess of £300 for a helmet ( and its not that price just for the design or because Vale wears one )...but 200kg of motorcycle sliding up the road with your head between it and the tarmac is a pretty tough test.
I know I might get flamed for this, I am a biker myself, and it really pi$$e$ me off during the summer to see kids riding bikes in tee shirts, jeans and no gloves or proper boots.
Like I say...bargain find...but please think before you buy this for yourself or a loved one...
I'm not voting either hot or cold...but just wanted to draw this to peoples attention.

Agreed,

As am Ex-Biker myself I would never consider anything less than a Shoei or Arai, OK they may cost a bid more but you will find the build quality as well as fit and comfort are far better (also you will find noise reduction will be vastly improved). I also agree that bikers should always wear a good set of leathers, gloves and boots (Tarmac is very unforgiving on bare skin).
