When you apply for a Lloyds TSB cad it is an american express card, I got one recently and I got a free 1500 miles free airmiles, had a shock that it was an American Express Card, they even send a mastercard just in case I am in a place they do not accept American Express

You have to apply for their Airmiles Duo card to get an American Express card, I went straight through their site and lost out on the 1500 air miles. Can't remember the site you go through now for that offer.

This is a great deal - Selfridges did something similar before Christmas. It's not in a Debenhams store near me unfortunately but worth bearing in mind if I go to Birmingham soon as I have an amex card through my work (it worked for the selfridges promotion so should hopefully work for this too).

The site you need to do this is on is airmiles.co.uk sign up for a card and get 1500 airmiles (return flight for two persons to anywhere in zone 1) to qualify for the miles you have to spend £10.00 on the AMEX card within 30 days.

Just a note for those that missed the offer by not going through the airmiles site. I also did this in January and realised that i had missed out on the airmiles, I called the contact number on the airmiles site and said i was sure that i had gone via their site and they admitted that there had been problems with the site and they then credited my airmiles account with the 1500 miles voucher.

It is worth a go for anyone who signed up and missed the deal.
