Hey all, Just saw this in my local tesco EXTRA in the reduced aisle.

Excellent 5.1mp 10X super zoom mini SLR Style camera for £69.99!!

This is a great price.

They also had nokia 6050's for £15 on tesco mobile, amongst other amazing products.

I have this camera and it is worth the money easily, but in no way is it a "mini SLR" it has a fixed 10x optical zoom which you cant change, but it does take great pics.

Read the details 'mini SLR Style ' STYLE is the word here.

As in its not a compact camera cos it has a ruddy great lens on the front of it. And it protrudes.

Nice find (the next model up, the S5700, is around £90-£100) BUT I'm pretty sure this is NOT a Digital SLR - it's still a compact with some SLR-like features.
If I'm wrong I apologise - voted hot anyway!

Ok SHOWMAN36 and aircanman beat me to it...

Nice price, however it does use XD cards... which is great if you have them. The newer ones take a combo of XD and SD

For this price, Tesco have technika cams, which are actually £10 more.

Granted they may be 12mp, but I would rather 5.1mp of fuji, than 20 of Technika. This is an ace camera for the money.

It's still a misleading title. SLR is the mechanism by which the photographer views the subject. You see exactly what will be captured on film, as opposed to a non-SLR camera.

This 'style' of camera is known as a super zoom digital camera.

Good find though.
