never had a problem with them in the past, and i've used quite a few...

everyone makes bad products, and when someone uses one it puts them off that name for life...

My old maxtor drives were pretty reliable....don't think I'd had one fail on me in the 10 years I've been using them though I tend to go for WD for speed nowadays and maxtor are owned by another company anyways.

I have this drive seems to work fine for me...
don't see why people are saying avoid maxtor
these posts should be moderated as just saying avoid maxtor doesn't give any insight into what problem you might be having.
