Then, take a thrilling ride with Alyx in a new modified vehicle as you enjoy the most breathtaking and revealing Half-Life game ever made.

Portal:
Open your mind to a new way of gaming. Portal blends puzzles, first person action, and adventure gaming to produce an experience unlike any other. With the Portal device, manipulate your surroundings to complete dozens of unique challenges. Are you ready to start thinking with Portals?

Team Fortress 2:
The sequel to the granddaddy of class-based multiplayer gaming. Join and battle teams with wildly-varying player classes - from the flame-throwing Pyro to the room-clearing heavy weapons guy. Featuring a distinctive visual style, Team Fortress 2 features all-new multiplayer game modes.

Also available from ASDA (ONLINE) and Lovefilm from same price. However seeing as Asda gave me a parking ticket the other day I thought I'd market thehut on this occassion.

PS This is for the PC and you shouldn't vote cold simply because you think its "better" on the PS3 or XBOX360. I am not going to go out and buy a new game console just so I can play a better port.

And rightly so.

Half life was designed for the PC originally, and is still the best on it.

This is a brilliant price, should be hotter.

Rep added.

A great game, an average game and three medicore ones. Consider getting portal alone off steam if you don't have much time to play games (I believe it's about £12) but for this little extra the others are worth having.

or "gift" HL2 and ep 1 if you already have it to a mate for a fiver and it becomes cheaper than one alone off steam.

It was a duplicate. I posted the original early this morning. As I acknowledged in my post though, this is the better deal if you use Quidco.

Half Life 2, Episode 1 and 2 are all awesome surely? Portal is quirky and cool, and TF2 is really good fun! Pity I bought this on Steam only a couple of weeks ago when it was 30 quid >.<

I bought this a while ago, and it took over an hour to install it which is just too long to begin with. The good news is that even on my ancient PC it still ran pretty well, although the frequent loading times are very off-putting. Seemed like a fairly decent FPS, although I preferred Far Cry myself.

What really put me off this game was Steam. Everytime I switched on my PC it wanted to connect to the internet through Zone Alarms, and I just reached the point where it wasn't worth having the game on my PC, as it was taking so long for it start-up whilst it kept trying to connect. If you've got a speedy PC with a speedy connection then it's probably fine, but on a PC over 3 years old like mine, Steam's constant badgering to connect to the internet is damn annoying.

Decent game, terrible installation and even worse it uses Steam.

I'd sell you my copy for a few pence, but it'll be worthless cos of the security it uses.

Yeah, that's a decent UK price for this (although having said that, I bought mine from YesAsia in November for £16 - it was the Hong Kong version with 'bonus' Counterstrike Disc but works fine).

Team Fortress is amazing, as is Portal - it was worth the asking price just for that

No, I can't say I've ever played need for speed. Or any game that has yearly updates really.

Portal is great.

TF2 is average. It's fun when you can get a nice server and it's probably fun with friends. But with most of the public servers it's just not terribly good. Partly that's due to some frustrating design decisions (the last control points on well and granary are all but undefendable) and partly it's due to the lack of any sort of balance mechanism, it's not uncommon to see a quarter of the team as snipers or five games in a row won by one side. It's still playable and it makes a nice break but it's not the sort of game you can really get into.

Half Life 2? I never saw what was cool about it. It's a standard FPS with the occasional good bit but which generally just seemed contrived and predictable. The combat isn't anything special and the gravity gun is mostly just a gun that fires random projectiles. I should add that I played this for the first time back in november when I got the orange box.
