The onions are a very good deal at 19p 1KG. Think the red ones are only about 20p as well.

Lidl fruit and veg are great. fresh excellent value. from experience you need to go in the morning to get the best, also you need to use it the same day or the next day at the latest.

Went to my local lidl tonight. 1 lonely savoy cabbage left (this is very unusual)
29p this was their price for today not because it was the last one.

I prefer to buy my veg here than other leading supermarkets.

lemons & oranges are delicious. best i've tasted.

can't do a full shop there though.

cottage pie is lush £1.29 good easy meal for kids.
spanish and italian meats are tasty also!

500g grapes for 49p, can't argue with that. (asda/tesco approx £1.80)

Lidl fruit & veg fresh? Whenever I have bought fruit /veg at Lidl's it's been anything but fresh (several branches). Found it OK for apples perhaps but not grapes/lettuce/cucumber etc.
The beetroot is cheap though, but HATE the stuff so will give it a miss. Voted hot though.
