EXPIRED - Sky Pay Once & Watch Forever - £60 Delivered @ John Lewis

£60.00

351°

FOUND BY: emasu 1 month, 2 weeks ago

Attached vouchers: £15 at John Lewis

Better price than the currys deal posted earlier and deserves a deal of its own as its £15 less which is quite alot IMO. Good for those who can't get freeview. You can also try 4 mixes for 4 months i think. Use £15 voucher to achieve this price.

"This great pre-pay package not only gives you 200 free digital TV channels thats four times more than Freeview, but also 4 months of the 4 most popular Sky Entertainment Mixes. After this point you will continue to receive the Mixes for £19 a month unless you inform Sky beforehand. Even if you choose to discontinue Sky TV you can still carry on enjoying the free channels."

Bewear: after 4months you automatically start a 12month contract if you do not cancel.

The forever part applies to Free To View occuring after 4months when you cancel.

Bear in mind this includes installation, Sky Digibox and Sky Minidish.

Good deal. Do yourself a favour, if you already have sky equipment out of contract, then disconnect it all and sell it. Sky's policy is that they will first use any existing equipment you have before giving you new stuff. This includes your sky dish, LNB, cable, and box. If you don't have any of these then they will give you a brand new install. Better to have new stuff right?

Had this recently when upgrading to Sky+. Engineer wanted to use my old dish and cabling and just replace the LNB and receiver.
When I said Sky had told me that is was going to be completely new kit and lets phone them to discuss he went away to his van and came back with spanking new goods so its worth challenging but I guess better safe than sorry.
Can't help wondering what he was going to do with all the new stuff that Sky had obviously provided if he didn't put it up at my place!

Is it me, or do you stop getting Channel 4 and Channel 4+1 once you've cancelled? So you can't use it as a complete replacement for a Freeview box?

Ploddy77 is right. Freesky or whatever it is called doesn't even have all the freeview channels. I'm finding mine bad enough that I'm looking to replace it with Freeview...

You should get Channel 4 and +1 ok once you have cancelled. Same with five. You won't however get More 4, E4 and Film 4.

We got BT Vision after a decade with Sky and haven't missed it one bit. £60 is a great deal for 4 months viewing and free equipment though.

I think that after 2 years of cancelling you are a new customer in the eyes of Sky.

He'd have left it in the van for the next fit. Thing is, see it from a fitters point of view, if you go to a job and all the cable is already there and so's the dish and it normally takes you an hour to fit everything, with the stuff already there you've saved yourself 30mins and because most of the day you've been doing s**t jobs that take twice as long as normal and you may now get home for tea on time! Im sure anyone with any sort of manual work involved is pleased if there is a way of getting things done quicker.
That said if you ask for all new then yes they should give it to you! Rant over, soz!

I would recommend waiting till Freesat is launched in a couple of months - that'll force $kys hand.
Plus Freesat comes with HD channels
