An excellent film at a great delivered price! If you haven't seen it - i would recommend it!

Darren Aronofsky follows up his acclaimed debut Pi with this gritty, emotionally charged film set amidst the abandoned beaches and faded glory of Coney Island, Brooklyn. Based upon the novel by celebrated author Hubert Selby Jr., the story intricately links the lives of a lonely widowed mother (Academy Award Winner Ellen Burstyn), her son Harry (Jared Leto), his beautiful girlfriend Marion (Jennifer Connelly), and his best friend Tyrone (Marlon Wayans).

Requiem for a Dream is a hypnotic tale of four human beings each pursuing their vision of happiness. Even as everything begins to fall apart, they refuse to let go, plummeting with their dreams into a nightmarish, gut-wrenching freefall.

Great film, albeit not for the faint hearted.

Great price for the 65th best film ever made (according to imdb).

Excellent movie. Watch it with the speakers onvolume up/headphones on, lights out and you'll probably think the same too.

I must agree with Dale....Well actually I have never seen the whole film, caught the last hour or so on tv one night, But was pretty much blown away by what I saw. Might have to buy this myself (and I Never buy dvds)...Oh that music is so fantastic too...

the worst most depressing shjte film ever! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There is no good situation in which to watch this monstrosity. really really bad. I bought this on film because i heard good things about it, how wrong i was. gave it away next day!

Superb moving piece of cinema.... not ya regular sugar coated candy film... something that will move you and make an impact... loved it WONDERFUL movie!!
