For the first 6 months of any new route all passengers are entitled to FREE rail travel to/from Glasgow Prestwick Airport . The rail travel is only applicable on the days that you travel to and from the airport. You can only use the free offer outwith this time if there are no trains from your designated station on your day of travel to the airport.

The route that currently qualifies for the free rail offer is Kaunas (from 28 October 2007 - 27 April 2008), Belfast (from 30 October - 30 April 2008), Budapest (from 1 November 2007 - 1 May 2008) Cork (13 December 07 -12 June 08) and Poznan (31 January 2008 - 30 July 2008)

To get your free travel tickets, produce your original flight confirmation (your booking confirmation with the airline logo) at a First ScotRail Booking Office or the airport's information desk where you'll be issued with a FREE travel voucher to anywhere in Scotland. These free tickets are not available on train.

So if you live far up north you're rather buy a cheap Ryanair Tickets that would cost you as little as £10 than a Aberdeen - Glasgow train Ticket!!!!

As far as I am aware, this is a permanent deal when you get a train from Prestwick to Glasgow you get half price if you can show you have just flown to Prestwick. It was certainly in place last year.

yeah, this has been going for a good few years now.
be aware, you MUST be able to produce an itinerary to get the deal either on train or at a station. boarding cards are NOT acceptable

I always show my email printed out and that's enough.

They also offer me return even if I have not booked one!
