Go for it Andy excellent choice of tv. i paid full whack for mine in June and have never regretted it. in my opinion still is probably one of the best on the market and at a good price.
the other version ( 428xd ) for a further £200 - £250 gives you a usb port , picture in picture function , sub woofer output , custom calibration configuration and intelligent brightness control.

Link does nto work and couldnt find it on site ,plus did it come with the free kit which sell on dixons for £299?

Anyway i dont trust Pixmania anyway as had a lot of problems with them previously , plus dont they send you a tv which a 2 pin plug so then u need a plug adaptor?

blackJester i opps being looking at all reviews for 428xd as thought this is what i was getting so already thought it had usb lol .....ah well , whats the different apart the the ones you stated?
I am told it is still the best 42" plasma out there the Kuro Pioneer hence i cancelled an order for a £900 LCD to go for this ,just hope i love it.

Yup you can only use one code so BIGTV gives you the most discount, and yep its now sold out.
I managed to get one , and dixons do the tv for the same price but without the dvd package


Edit : seems to be back instock now as all is working fine

there is no difference in performance just the little add ons which i stated. i had the 428xd for the usb really expensive i know but it gives you the option to connect up anything that has a usb connection ......... i have used it for the computer , camera and camcorder all work simply and safely.
as for screen burn i was told the items that remain in place i.e windows task bar , dials on any racing games etc they move slightly obviously not to the naked eye in a clockwise motion so as to try and eliminate this ........... can anybody confirm this

We've spent the last couple of weekends going round specialist shops looking at plasmas and LCDs and had reluctantly decided to go for a cheaper Panasonic, as the price of the Pioneer was beyond justification.

Now with this price and the surround sound unit, this is a no-brainer, and we've just ordered.
