EXPIRED - Contact lenses online - Lensbase.com

POSTED BY: emmajk42 1 year, 11 months ago

Just a note in case anyone is thinking of ordering Contact Lenses online, I have ordered from Lensbase and had a very good experience, so posting this thread in case anyone searches for them.

http://www.lensbase.com/

Ordered on the 26th March, got my package through the door on the 29th... Even got 8% quidco cashback too. Prices were good, shipping was free - can't beat that!

Highly recommended :)

Emma, is your daily change of avatar in cahoots with ducky's attempts to destabilise my mind or it is completely arbitrary?? Do not mention graphics tablets.

Yeah they are, but it doesnt relate to the lenses or mean anything significant. its just to ensure that the wearer puts them on the right way, as soft lenses are flexible and can possibly be put in the wrong way which can affect vision.

Other companies also print something on their lenses to ensure this as well, CIBA vision for example put CIBA. Its nothing major just an aid. Just make sure the writing is the right way around

Yeah not all lenses have writing on them but with some of them the writing is hard to see and can only be seen when holding it up to the light

But there still are ways to check if the are the right way around - if you hold them between the thumb and index finger and lightly press so that the lens folds in half, the edges of the lenses should not be curving out otherwise they may be the other way around

Of course it is quite hard to explain in a written post but if you feel the lens is the wrong way around, taking them out and reinserting the other way is always an easy alternative.

I knew there was something about squeezing them like that, but I;ve tried it and couldn't figure it out. Also, the optician never showed me either.

Ahhhh this makes sense:

Correct way on the left.

Yeah thats the way i tried to explain but like is said hard to explain in writing - good find with the pictures

Your optician should have explained to you when you first tried and wore contact lenses - but at least hopefully you wont put them in the wrong way around from now

The lenses i wear are called Air Optix by ciba vision -its not the most commonly used lens and the writing on them is really small and i would probably never have seen them if i didnt know they were there. I think the 123 on the johnson and johnson is bigger. Which type of lenses do you wear and are you worried about putting them in the wrong way?

Sorry i do not have a link but if you are looking to change lenses or lens type let me know and i will tell you everything i now.
