Got in a letter from VeriSign today saying; "Claim your free Sennheiser headphones as one of the first 200 people to download VeriSign's whitepaper, the Latest Advancements in SSL Technology at; http://www.verisign.co.uk/info/1912"

From the website:

"Discover how Extended Validation SSL can help you improve security and build trust in your Web site.

Complete the form below to obtain your white paper.

Don't forget to include your full address details. If you are one of the first 200 responses we receive we will send you a FREE pair of Sennheiser headphones."

200 might not be a lot, but it's worth a try.

I remember doing something for them b4 and getting a bluetooth headset, took a LONG time to arrive tho, like 4 months

I thought I would give it a go. Never do trust comps that say the first X to apply will receive. We have no way of knowing how many actually get them.

Yes I am very sceptical :P

none of you will ever receive anything from Versign - I receive this letter every 3-6 months for the last few years - always offering something for free - and stuck being on the mailing service and their 'partners'. It is just a simple ploy to overload your mailbox with more junkmail - while the stuff you really order and pay money for, never gets through.
