£31 odd for those available in stock - personally rather have the boxset for £4 more (minus a 10% card discount) and not have to place 3 seperate orders. Each to their own.

I thought this site was about getting the cheapest price? Paying over £6 more for the same thing because it's in a box is a waste of money. But...each to their own. As usual, the votes will speak for themselves.

Seems you are just splitting hairs to me. Maybe some people (I for one) don't mind paying a little extra for that cardboard box. And not have to order from effectively 3 seperate suppliers. Indeed, each to their own, but just because you don't agree doesn't make it a bad deal.

Well I suppose it WOULD take an extra, ooh, 5 minutes to place 3 orders? And time is precious. You could use the extra 5 minutes you gained to try and make back the 17% premium you've just paid for a piece of cardboard.

Listen, if I want to buy this for someone as a present - as many may well do - I don't want to be fussed ordering 3 seperate boxsets from 3 seperate places, waiting maybe a week for them all to arrive and worse still, then give them 3 single boxsets wrapped up - I'm sure most people would gladly & willingly pay the few extra quid for the boxset. Who REALLY gives a stuff about the % cost of cardboard??

Box sets are released for a reason and often contain rare and never-before-released tracks, scenes and documentaries. If you dont want these extras, its fine and is 'your' choice but not an excuse to spoil threads.

If you find the same box set cheaper elsewhere, pls provide a link else start another thread with what you think is a cheaper and better option and let members decide. This is how the site works and thread spoiling is NOT allowed.

Series 1 - £8.93 at TheHut - NOT in stock (despatched in 4 days) - next up is £13.83 at Dvdi
Series 2 - £8.99 at DVD.co.uk - correct
Series 3 £11.89 at Sendit.com - (NOT in stock (despatched in 72 hrs) - next up is £12.99 at HMV

So your 'cheaper' comparison of £29.81 is actually £35.81 - some difference, and not comparable to the boxset.

And before you say the prices have gone up since last night, whizzkid pointed some were out of stock straight away and I too went to check them, this is what they were when you did your rushed comparison

Oh I see, so you're someone after the complete series for a present (or even yourself) - with your 'deal, you have to wait up to 4 days before they all even come into stock, then wait what, up to a week for some of them to arrive from Jersey. Then, just to rub salt into the wound (and after now waiting maybe 14 days to get them all) because you're a cheapskate, you're gonna wrap 3 individual sets up to give them. GREAT DEAL!

Think I'll stick with the equivalent priced boxset - despatched in 24hrs from Zavvi and usually received in 1-2 days

nb sendit are notorious for saying 'despatched in 72 hrs', they usually say that well in excess of the actual truth.

Let's put it this way then. You're presenting one scenario - buying this as a present for someone. I'm presenting another - wanting all 3 series as cheap as possible for yourself and not really being bothered how quickly you get them. Both are valid scenarios. Personally I prefer mine, you prefer yours, that much is clear. It's up to other users to decide which is best for them. But judging by the temperature of this deal, it doesn't look like many people are mithered either way.
