The 9600GT has 64 stream process and a 256bit memory interface but will outperform this card for the same price. Mostly down to the default clocks on the 9600GT being higher but also down to better internal algorithms. The 9600GT also requires less power and will produce less heat.

Personally, I would put down another £20ish and get an 8800GT.

See this for a nice big list of 8800GT reviews...

http://forums.anandtech.com/messagev...readid=2110122

You should know that at the time the 8800GT was released that a lot of those linked sites didn't seem to compare it against the 640Mb GTS, instead only including 320Mb. Many people suggested that this was a review guideline required by Nvidia so that it wouldn't damage sales of the 640Mb back then.

9600gt has 64 stream processors not 96 but would still go with 8800gt myself

Here is a review that compares a 8800GTS 640mb with a 8800GT 512mb:

&

The 8800GT tends to be quicker but the articles are worth reading.

It might be useful to put what type of slot a graphics card uses when you post a deal, because some of use still use AGP slots you know.

How come you guys vote 4 ripples for a £1 hot and this not hot? Maybe because you know more about chocolate.

Here is the deal. Yes its last years model, but it will play Crysis well.

Good quality, 384bit, 640MB, 96 streams, Direct X 10, what are you guys waiting for.

You can not buy a better card for the money.

Hurry they don't have many left.
