£120 Phone line connection refunded through Sky

Hi all just tried to find if this has been posted before and if it has I apologise so here goes!
(Also I hope its in the correct place)

Just moved into a new build house and found that my phone line wasn't connected and BT were going to charge me £120 to flick a switch, tried other Networks but basically had to go through BT. At the time I was also interested in getting Sky so I rang them and they informed me that they would credit my account with £120 if I was to go ahead and get Sky which I did.

Since then my Sister has also used this deal and we also got the refer a friend £50 Marcs and sparks vouchers.

Hope this can help at least one person!!

Yes they have credited both mine and my Sisters account

We have also recieved the vouchers Id show you a picture but wife spent them!

great deal but point of interest, yes it is a case of just making live but all the duct and cable on the estate is paid for by bt / openreach on the intent that people will have the phone put on so dont feel to bad about the 120 its cost a lot more than that,

Yes, I'm with Virgin for Phone and Broadband and Sky for TV. The Sky rep told me they would pay for a new BT phone line to be fitted If I wanted it. They sent me a form too but I am happy with my current arrangement for now. Do check broadband availability for your area if you intend to get their free broadband as it is not always available. They only get a set number of lines if you see what I mean.

Heat added anyway!

Fantastic! Bt is really ripping people off!!! even if the property was previously connected they want you to pay that fee. It takes 2 minutes to do the job.
