I'll second that as it seems not a lot of people know that once a deal is 'expired' the spam button is disabled, so the only recourse to getting self promo spam etc removed is to hit the report button.

I noticed that too, it is annoying.

Is it possible that that could be removed, because I noticed that when there was a lot of abusive threads started a week or two by the same member(He wanted people to insert a digit in his orifice), they had been expired, and so couldn't be spammed.

I believe that the member himself expired them so that they couldn't be spammed?

I doubt they had the power to expire it themselves. The irritating thing about that case was that it was about 1am and no mods about for a few hours to act on the reports. Still, it did offer an amusing insight into the workings of that members mind

I think this is something that needs looking at, it is an annoyance, albeit a minor one that a post cannot be spammed just because it has been expired.

To expire a deal yourself all you have to do is put the end date as yesterday surely?

For duplicates: I thought that you preferred us to hit the red triangle and report as a duplicate so that you could make the decision yourself as to whether to remove/ignore or whatever.
Isn't it neater to keep expired for expired?

Yes, that's exactly right. But it helps to click spam as well.

And if you make a note in the thread that you have clicked spam and reported it, then no-one else will duplicate your effort.

It would be the same for amazon marketplace deals folks, if you see any like that, please spam them. And if you spot one that has already been expired, if you could fire a quick report to the mods, that would be a big help.
