Hi all,

After years of blagging all the deals that everyone posts, I finally have one of my own (i hope!!).

A few months back there was a post for half price mobile broadband from the Three network for existing cutomers. That was instore. This one is online and maybe be subject to Quidco????

The prices are as follows:

up to 1gb £5 per month with free dongle (usually £10 per month)
up to 3gb £7.50 per month with free dongle (usually £15 per month)
up to 7gb £12.50 per month with free dongle (usually £25 per month)

Quidco offers £37.50 for 1gb or 3gb option and £80 for the 7gb option.
N.B. Please note I have not ordered this as yet so do not know if Quidco works on this deal.

I am looking to order but wanted to know if the line is a dynamic ip or static ip? I need a dynamic ip. One for the techies

It'll be a NAT'd dynamic IP from their gateway which seems to be based in the far east, IMO it is NOT a substitute for a proper broadband routed connection but rather a supplementry connection for when you are not at work/home etc.

But for £5/m to have net anywhere where there is coverage and if you need it for light usage, that's very good, although I have seen the £5/m offer before, just not with Quidco, also if this is current customers this is limited to very few people..

Dynamic IP.
If you run Speedtest.net on it, you will find dozens of people who have used the same IP address that day and chosen to run the speedtest

Yeah, it is definately a dynamic IP. Works really well for me though. Unlike most, I do use it as my complete broadband substitute. If you use ICS and a crossover cable, it gets the PS3 online with a good ping 90% of the time. Some games that use P2P connections are awkward but most of them are fine like COD4 etc. I should point out thought that my signal is nearly always HSDPA. When I have travelled and got just 3g it is relatively poor. Hope that helps just one person.

£5 x 18 = £90 - £37.50 = £52.50.

Assuming I get quidco this is a good price!!!!!!!

DAMN NO RAF! The box comes up but it's says in T&C excludes broadband!

I'm really curious about how 3 come to their figures for what you can get on these tariffs!

1 GB gets you
30 hours web surfing
+ 650 emails
+ 60 downloaded music tracks
+ 30 downloaded videos

3GB gets you
100 hours web surfing
+ 2000 emails
+ 200 downloaded music tracks
+ 100 downloaded videos

7GB gets you
200 hours web surfing
+ 4500 emails
+ 400 downloaded music tracks
+ 200 downloaded videos

I just dont get how 650 emails can remotely come to 1GB - unless of course they think you have 1MB + attachments with each?

I'd like to take up this half price deal, but it aint gonna happen as I dont want their phone service. A shame, but there you go!

I got the 3gb version
please note using it for about 3 hours a day, once looking at car insurance, once looking at clothes both times used around 16 meg, this over 30 days is 0.5gb so I think anyone using for standard broadband should use the 3gb at least.
its £7.50 a month with this offer.
Have had no problems with it whatsoever if used for main broadband connection.

I have the 3gb allowance. It is connected for at least 3 hrs a day surfing the net, reading mail and even youtube etc, probably download about 20 songs per month too. In addition, I play about 20 hours per week on PS3 which uses around 8-12mb per hour. I usually get to within the last 100mb of my allowance but have never gone over.

It looks to me like you do get quidco for this.
According to quidco site you get this actually:
£8 for Mobile Broadband LITE (MB1) 12 month on 1GB or 3GB
£37.50 for Mobile Broadband PLUS (MB2) 18/24 month on 1GB or 3GB
£80 for Mobile Broadband MAX (MB3) All 7GB
