According to some reports, it should be out today.
Let's hope Play.com gets them sooner

I did look at this, but I was put off by paying £300 for what is basically a mini pentium 3 laptop. You can get a half decent dell for this price if you are happy to have a slightly less svelt form factor.

Depends on what you want in a laptop at that price, portability or performance?

its an ideal uni mini laptop and one to take on holiday incase you cant bear to be without a computer for 2 weeks.

Will be in demand at all retailers and ebay. 20GB with my official purchased xp build replacing linux thats pre installed will do nicely!

HOT HOT HOT

Disappointed about battery life and probably dont need it as already have a macbook and a gaming rig.......placed a pre order non the less as I'll find some use for it at some point.

Does anyone else find that spending £1000+ on a laptop makes you not want to move it about - just in case you break it?! I think this will be carried all over by me!

I personally wouldn't buy Dell, I think their build quality could be better

Te question is do you wait for the new centrino atom versions which should be more powerful. The battery hasn't been improved which is a disappointment.

I might wait out for the MSI wind which reputedly has a 7 hour battery life, the atom processor, but remains as light as the eee pc as well as offering a similar screen resolution and estimates at that it will be around £250 in price though I think £300 is more likely as that is where this pc and the HP one are priced at.

So lets see: when the initial eeePC came out, I told myself "No, wait 'till the next model: I really want a bigger screen, a bit more solid-state storage, and hopefully a better battery. Slap another £100 on the price tag to cover the changes, and I'll bite."

Looks like items 1 and 2 have been attended to, but the third not so much

Hmmm... Looks like I have some thinking to do

Edit: Also, Play look to have upped the price
Edit Edit: Or maybe I should learn to read
