I'm not generally impressed with Screwfix these days, all those branches are taking their toll on the prices. I have a 2006 catalogue, comparing with their lastest prices, the majority of 'bread n' butter' components have shot up in price, some by nearly 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rock on Tool Station!

Things have changed, but I agree that the competitive edge is long gone - excepting the occasional deals like this one. I also have converted to Toolstation (who have just sold out 30 % to Travis Perkins). My worry is now that Toolstation have become established and the owners made multimillionaires (the son of the original Screwfix owner) they too will lose the edge........  Still to the point - this is a very good deal! |
