Just booked myself from Derry - Glasgow Prestwick for £11.98 return (£2 Card free)

A lot of the flights i checked out of my Local airport Derry were 0p + £4.99 tax. That included to London, Glasgow, East Midlands, Liverpool and Bristol

If it's an internal UK flight you need some form of official identification (ie a driving liscense) but not a passport.

do you (or anyone) know what id they require for kids (specifically a 9 year old, no passport)

Oh, hm I don't have a passport/driving licence. I have an old student ID which has been through the wars and the picture barely looks like me anymore. The last time I went to london without a passport was a bit dodgy but they let me go through eventually (I showed a bus pass with my picture) this was before all the terroristy things though

If the child is travelling with an adult on an Internal UK flight or flying between the UK and ireland they don't need a form of photo ID with FR.
