Grant Gee, the director and cinematographer who gave us revealing portraits of Radiohead and Scott Walker, offers us a dark and detailed picture of the angular, Ian Curtis-fronted rockers, Joy Division. The film includes interviews with ex-band members Peter Hook and Bernard Sumner as well as the influential late boss of Factory Records, Tony Wilson, to flesh out the band's unlikely rise to fame.
