No Sketchers online at Republic but my patrtner did buy me a pair instore a few yrs back,don't really wear trainers now as I'm into those shoes that have really bendy soles,loads of different pairs in River Island for £25 and I don't wear them out so quickly like other shoes,cos heavy walker.

dont know of those shoes...im quite addicted to either adidas superstars or the skechers trainers.... dont know what the design is called... but not the newer ones..the proper chunky glittery trainers they do...i seem to alternate between the 2 styles... at mo my superstars are sooooo battered... went bowling last week and ws embarrasing how grubby they wer! whoops!

If you just put them down on floor they don't lay flat,loads shops sell them but I've got about 5 pairs or so from River Island.I'd send links off their site but the items pop up and don't have a link sort of thing.They bendy and really comfortable and they can be worn with anything,but I'm not really that into fashion anyway. They also come in various colours,I think its boring to wear black shoes all time.

defo agree black are yuck! havent had a pair of black shoes since being at school where it was compulsory. am a mad trainer girl me! my friend is the opposite..she cant walk in trainers as shes so used to heels..she feels she wil trip over in them... so weird! hehe!!

these are them,they all from River Island,although the purple pair on end I picked up at an Oasis outlet store for £5 so bargain. I've got a few more pairs like this but they around,I tend to keep them in pairs on side of stairs but Cerys does help herself to trying them on cos she a bit shoe mad already.

ahhhhhhh!! i thought u meant these...love the colours and styles....surprised they r so comfy...i would think because they r so light u wouldnt get so much cushioning on ur feet, esp when u r walking outdoors.... is that not the case?

I find them really comfy,I was mad a while back on a pair in Qube and I bought several pairs. I can wear them all day as some days i could be out the house 12 hrs and cos we don't have car you tend to be walking here and everywhere to get where you going.

Cerys,I get her shoes from Clarks usually,she only size 7 and its a pain getting shoes that don't look too babyish,sometimes we can get away with Next on,it depends if the width on them too wide,usually go there for sandals and they do nice glittery shoes too what are usually ok for occasional use such as dressing up or odd party. Was pain getting black shoes for school for her,Clarks school shoe range starts at size 9 cos they presume all children 4 yrs upwards are least size 9. Luckily they did have a pair that were black but tbh they a bit fancy for school as they have crystals on strap fastening.
Most children who are size 7 are usually 2yr old so she got very small feet for a 5yr old,she only goes up one size a yr,so always gets the wear out the shoes unlike some children who outgrown them before they worn out. Thats only good thing I guess about it.

If you live anywhere near Chester or Liverpool, there is a dedicated Sketchers outlet store at the McArthur Glen Store in Ellesmere Port (not far from motorway), it is called Cheshire Oaks. Good bargains to be had!
