UEFA Euro 2008 Competition Terms and Conditions
Participation is reserved to members of the public (End Users) who have qualified for entry through the Canon Consumer Imaging Euro 2008 UK End User Competition (the competition.).
The competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of John Lewis or Canon, their agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
The competition will run from 23 April 2008 until midnight on 19 May 2008.
The Winner will be randomly selected by a representative of John Lewis on 20 May 2008. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Winner will be notified by telephone and email by Canon on 20 May 2008 and must confirm acceptance of the prize by midnight on 22 May 2008.
In the event that the Winner does not confirm acceptance or declines to accept the prize, an alternative Winner will be selected and notified in the same manner with 48 hours for acceptance.
No liability will be accepted for entries that are lost, damaged, incorrectly completed or delayed in transit.
The Winner will receive a VIP Package for the opening match of the UEFA EURO 2008 between Switzerland vs Czech Republic in Basel, Switzerland on Saturday, 07 June, 2008.
The VIP Package consists of the following 3 Day Programme: 3 tickets to the opening match; three Return flights between Heathrow and Switzerland; 2-night stay in 3*/4* accommodation for three people; Transport within Switzerland; Canon Concierge Service & Canon Guest Hotline; Dinners, Breakfasts & Stadium hospitality (inc. meals); Basic guest welcome/survival pack; Additional activity options (e.g. City Tour/ Sport Program/pre-match analysis)
The Prize is non transferable, no substitute prize is available whatsoever and there can be no variation or extension to the travel itinerary or accommodation.
The award of a prize is subject to the participant having complied with the all terms, conditions and rules of the competition.
The Winner and accompanying guests are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance and will be required to provide proof of identity and a valid passport.
Canon is not responsible for any Winners inability to participate in any aspect of the prize due to circumstances beyond Canons control.
The Winner and accompanying guests will be guests of Canon during the trip and as such should behave in a way so as not to bring Canon's name into disrepute. Canon, however, accepts no responsibility for the conduct or actions of the Winner or his/her guests during the trip.
Canon representatives will be accompanying the Winner and his/her guests throughout the trip.
Each participant authorises the use of his/her personal data and/or photo for promotional purposes.
Canon (UK) Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by the participant. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canons liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon.
Canon is required to submit the names of the Winner and their guests to UEFA in order to meet UEFA's security requirements.
In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of these rules, or any matter related to this incentive, the decision of the Canon Senior Manager is final.
