FOUND BY: asandwhen 1 week, 6 days ago

I have just booked some flights to New york and got a bargain so thought id share.

Flying out Jun 30th returning July 14th from Heathrow - JFK with american airlines (dont worry its terminal 3 at heathrow)

Worked out an amazing 286.60 per person inc taxes - I was shopping around for these flights and the next cheapest for the exact same flights was £316 with opodo.

Not bad !

I got a deal to go with Delta, £170 round trip. IIRC they still had some of those seats left too!

I'm guessing that was before taxes etc? Searching myself some of the tickets are that price, but then they add on tax, fuel surcharge etc to take it to between £280-£300.

You guess wrong ! It was £172 round trip all taxes included. Keep a regular eye on Delta as it's a deal they've had on a few times. It was posted on here IIRC.

Edit looked on Delta today and can't see them at that price

Flew to New York with AA from Stansted over Easter, came to just under £900 for 4 return tickets! Brilliant service, couldn't fault them at all. Did check prices for a while, they go up and down like a yo-yo. You can however hold them for 24 hours, so done this a couple of times until the right price came up!

Just got back from NYC after £174 return flights with Delta posted some months ago, crazy place.

Would recommend "Big Apple Hostel" for anyone that wants cheap and clean, literally on Time Square, great if you have 4 people together to take up 1 room. £20 pp/pn.

Couple of years back, we looked at flights to Philly, at the time BA was £240, we booked through AA (U.S. site) and saved £20 for the exact same BA flights. Not sure if you can still do this, but is my small money saving tip.
