Cheapest price I've seen for this series, very funny and just waiting on mine to get here! Only £7.99 at HMV delivered with 9% Quidco too!

The Bluth clan lives a life of excess, funded by the family credit card and paid for by the fortune patriarch George Bluth (Jeffrey Tambor) made in the tract home development business. Oldest son George Oscar Bluth II, nicknamed Gob, is an 'illusionist' of minor importance who has anger management issues, while the youngest son Buster whiles away his days taking obscure graduate school courses. Daughter Lindsay (Portia de Rossi) is a vain socialite who throws parties with her sexually ambiguous husband (David Cross, MR. SHOW). The only sane member of the family is Linsay's twin brother Michael (Jason Bateman), a widower who stands to inherit the reins to the family corporation when his father retires. However, at the retirement party some unexpected obstacles are thrown into the mix: Michael, having informed the family that his first task as head of the company will be to confiscate everyone's credit cards, is passed over in favour of his snobby alcoholic mother, Lucille (Jessica Walter). Just when Michael decides to wash his hands of the family and move to Arizona with his 13-year-old son George Michael, George is arrested on fraud charges and the family's assets are frozen. Michael is forced to step up and aid his family in adjusting to their new lives. Shot with a shaky camera and a documentary air that creates a feeling of intimacy with the characters, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT is reminiscent of Wes Anderson's THE ROYAL TENNENBAUMS and Christopher Guest's mockumentaries. Truly unique in the realm of TV sitcoms, it employs a cinematic humour that often exhibits a dark side. While targeting the filthy rich and the squeaky clean families of prime time, it also displays a certain tragedy in the characters' eccentricities and helplessness. During its two seasons on Fox Network it garnered massive critical acclaim, and was nominated for 7 Emmys, a Golden Globe, and won the TV Land 'Future Classic' award.

Yeah, log-on at Quidco and then search for HMV, open the HMV Quidco page and click on the link that says "Click here to visit this merchant and earn cashback". This then opens the HMV website and you just order as normal and checkout. Your Quidco will initially track as zero, but then it will update once your order is posted.

PS It is a fantastic programme, the performances by all the main characters are great and Jason Bateman and Michael Cera as father and son just works so well! Hope you enjoy it!

Hotness! Was gonna order this very soon for £12.75 from cd-wow as soon as I could get a voucher :P so this has fantastic timing, I can't see this 3 disc series getting much cheaper than this :D Such a fantastic series, travesty it ever got cancelled.

Yes, it really is the best ever. Everyone needs to see this.
I was going to order the 1-3 boxset, region 1, from amazon.com. It works out around £25, but this has tempted me.
It's just a shame that Seasons 2 and 3 are £32.99 each (!) at hmv. What are the cheapest prices for these elsewhere?

EDIT - Just had a quick look, and the cheapest I could find the other seasons for were £15.49 for Season 2 and £16.49 for Season 3 at dvd.co.uk (although it says availability = on order). Brings the total to £40 if you buy all 3 seasons from the cheapest region 2 places.

The all-3-seasons region boxset from amazon.com works out at £24.22, plus your choice of shipping. Cheapest shipping is Standard International Shipping (averages 9-36 business days), bringing the total to £27.66. So if you can play region 1 disks and don't mind waiting, that's an excellent price (at least until Seasons 2 and 3 are £7.99!)

This is probably the best television show ever produced. It's also extremely rewatchable - hidden gags that you won't get until after multiple viewings.

I nearly posted it myself last week, saw it on the HMV sale thread, but was put off by too many people complaining about 'single items' being put up when part of an overall sale.

Top Show. Too bad they rushed the end of Season 3 to wrap everything up . Hopefully Arrested Development The Movie gets made soon and is as good as the TV Show.
