Quidco has plumetted on car insurance. last year standard rates were £100 - 120. Now £45-80 max.
Is anyone with Tesco Car insurance as they do 1000 points each/£10 gift card if you recommend someone who takes out a policy? My quote so far is v competitive - so looking likely to take out tesco - along with free pressure washer - and possibility of £50 cash back with wepromiseto (thanks edi)

Does anyone use wepromiseto? Is it same basis as quidco?

The pressure washer is available to existing customers too, if you ask to get put through to 'customer retentions' when your renewal comes through.

They obviously want to minimise customers leaving them, so if you ask they will give you a pressure washer if you say you are leaving. I just phoned them and they're sending a voucher to me.

I obviously checked online for other quotes first, but Tesco came back still the cheapest for me, so it's a double-whammy.

Tesco Value Fully Comp was the cheapest for me £386 (+ £45 quidco cashback) with legal protection and no excess. 2nd cheapest was Swift Cover. I never saw a box to put the promotion code in so phoned up after I bought it and they added it manually for me.

If anybody else is in the same boat, ring 0113 3904000 and ask for Tesco Car Insurance.

EDIT: Forgot to ask, has anybody's Quidco tracked for Tesco Value insurance? If so, how long did it take? It's been 4 days so far for me and no sign as of yet.
