80 Blank Maxell DVD+R 16x £9.99 on Play.com

£9.99

339°

FOUND BY: steve_the_king 1 week, 4 days ago

Attached vouchers: 5% at Play.Com

Spotted these on Play.com and bought myself some..!!

I paid £7.99 for 50 discs a little while ago so thought i'd get some more and was annoyed that the price had gone up but thought hey..still better than anywhere else i've seen...then i spotted that you actually get 80 discs!!! Its a brilliant deal in my opinion!

As I said, i've used Maxell discs before and they work brilliantly..i've had problems with others makes but never had a problem with any of their discs!

They do DVD-R as well for the same quantity and price - although i must admit, i have no idea what the difference is between the two types!!!

Plus 5% discount code if you havent used it already! Oh yeah and 4% Quidco!!!!!

Good quality discs, find the minus type have better compatability, ordered some with my £2 off code from previous posts, a better deal until midnight tonight if you need a few discs is to order from "bigpockets" which I have just done as follows:
5 x 50 x8 speed ritek discs @ 5.29 each
1 x 50 x16 speed ritek disks @ 5.39
Free delivery over £30 code "MAYDAY"
Total cost £31.84 delivered for 300 ritek disks.

SVP are doing 99p deliverey off a £30 or more order as well.

Hope this might help someone.

Because DVDR media should be 8p or less if you can be bothered to still use it - people with sense use memory sticks/card for media now.

And what does VHS have to do with anything?

I think a lot of people who buy 80 dvd-rs have another use in mind than data storage...

pros and cons of +R and -R ?
DVD-R was the original format. It was DVD dash R in much the same way that CD-R is CD dash R.

5 years later a new standard appeared which was supposed to be better in compression and speed. Because they labelled it DVD+R to indicate superiority, the previous format got labelled as minus.

However, so many DVD players use DVD-R that either they are DVD-R or DVD-R and DVD+R.

By default, most people would burn on DVD-R to ensure that all DVD players will be compatible.

Hope that helps!

AMO
