got mine and you also get an AC adapter included in the box. So no buying loads of batteries!

Has a rotary volume control, which is good IMHO :-)

Other controls are slightly fiddly, but no worse than many other UK DAB radios at *much* higher prices. Although this radio has 8 presets, only presets 1-4 are available at the touch of single button. According to the supplied manual, the presets can be different for FM and DAB (so each preset can apparently be used twice).

Sound quality on Radio 3 (high bit-rate MP2) via the stereo jack is awesome if you have good DAB reception. Internal speaker is acceptable but nothing special.

Nice on/off switch. Powers up to last station very quickly (assuming that DAB signal is available).

Running mine on NiMH batteries - not sure of battery life yet, but at least 2 hours so far

If you want a cheap portable battery powered DAB / FM radio, then you can't go wrong at GBP 15.

My only criticism: not as nice to look at as the recent Matsui one from Currys and looks a bit cheap.

However, being white it's ideal for the kitchen or bathroom.

A bargain nonetheless, well worth £15!

As an aside, what does everyone think of "Bird FM" or whatever it's called?

It might sound silly, but I find it really relaxing to have on in the kitchen. I'm almost fooled into believing I live in the country! Well worth fifteen quid for "Bird FM" alone..

I tested the battery life on DAB today.

Tuned to radio 3 on medium volume, the radio ran for about 12 hours on battery power. Batteries were qty. 6 Energiser 2500mAH NiMH rechargeables (bought from Tesco years ago, as another bargain).

So the DAB is perfectly useable for occasional battery use, especially if you are using rechargeables.

Saw this in the paper today. Any half decent DAB has got to be good for £15. Voted HOT.

This will be mono by the way as it only has the one speaker like all "kitchen radios".
