Argos or Homebase codes / vouchers?

To be honest, I've never known either shop to do discount codes or vouchers. Argos sometimes do the promotion where you spend £50 and get a £5 voucher back or £100 and get a £10 voucher back. Homebase just do the 10% day promotion as far as I know and the last one was over the Bank Holiday weekend just gone. You could always contact them to find out when the next promotion is. I recently bought a couple of sofas from Homebase and this wasn't on 10% off day but I asked for 10% off if I bought that day and they said yes so it's worth being cheeky and asking.

It was instore but you could try it over the phone as well.

If you have an Argos Storecard (yes I know the interest rate is shocking!) then you quite often get offers sent through the post. You can now use it in Homebase, and we've just been sent a voucher fro 15% off if we pay with the storecard, we also get the same interest free period that we would in Argos. I'm making up a list of stuff that I need at the moment - I think I may be in for a busy Summer! As long as it's paid of during the interest free period then we get the full 15% off. Incidentally it does say that it can only be used instore, and not on 10% off days.

We also occasionally get £4 off a spend of £40 or £5 off £50 vouchers for Argos. If you think you can use it wisely, then it may be benificial to get one for the future.

There's a 15% off voucher for homebase valid this weekend if you know someone who works for BT, but it's a paper voucher so no codes i'm afraid.

I used one last time to buy 2 sofas delivered for £300! Bargain.

How do they get that? My nephew works for them...of to call him lol

I don't know but my dad got them and sent them to me last time, and he rang me to see if i needed more because they were repeating the offer this weekend...they possibly came out of the union magazine, i'm afraid i won't be seeing him to ask before the weekend

The 15 % off is also for people who work at BAE Systems this weekend. I wanted to buy a summer house from Home base for £999 as I could get it for just under £850.
I noticed, however, that if you ordered it on-line it states that the product may be delivered from Argos.
Having then visited the Argos site I found that it was only £849 without being in the sale!
My question is therefore, how can Sainsburys justify charging a whooping £150 more?
I have printed off both website's product pages and will challenge Sainsburys to meet the Argos price and then brandish my 15 % discount at the tills (knocxing it down to a respectable £722).
If Sainsburys won't play ball I will ask Argos to accept the Sainsburys voucher (worth a try) .

I thought Argos & homebase were the same company? I didnt realise sainsburys were part of it.

I always compare Argos and homebase when buying something they would both stock. I would print off Argos page and go to homebase and see if they will price match.
